It should go without saying that a generational player like French rookie phenom Victor Wembanyama is to be a building block for the future of the San Antonio Spurs organization. But of the other players currently on the roster, are any of them in the Spurs’ long-term team building plans?

One such candidate to stick around with Wemby is starting Spurs shooting guard Devin Vasell. The 6-foot-5 wing has been a solid and improving part of San Antonio’s rotations since being drafted by the Spurs in 2020. Vassell has honed his outside shot into a formidable weapon while improving as a defender as well.
