SportsLine’s Jimmie Kaylor, a daily Fantasy pro who won a DraftKings Millionaire Maker contest, gives optimal NBA DFS lineup advice
Stephen Curry emerged from his shooting slump in a major way with eight made 3-pointers, including three during an initial 14-0 run for the Warriors against the Knicks, on Thursday. Curry shot 44.4% from beyond the arc in the game after making just 8 of 37 3-point attempts (21.6%) over his prior three contests. On Friday, the Warriors play the Raptors, who rank 22nd in the NBA in 3-point defense, so should daily Fantasy basketball players expect Curry to continue Thursday’s momentum and utilize him in NBA DFS picks?
Meanwhile, Klay Thompson has embraced his role off the bench and is averaging 19.2 points off the bench compared to 17 ppg as a starter. Should Thompson be included in NBA DFS lineups? With nine games on Friday’s NBA schedule, what’s the best way to form an NBA DFS strategy on sites like FanDuel and DraftKings? Before making your NBA DFS picks, be sure to check out the NBA DFS advice, player rankings, stacks, and top daily Fantasy basketball picks from SportsLine’s Jimmie Kaylor.

Top NBA DFS picks for Friday, March 1
For Friday, one of Kaylor’s top NBA DFS picks is Celtics guard/forward Jaylen Brown ($7,600 on DraftKings and $8,100 on FanDuel). Brown had 31 points on 78.6% shooting with six rebounds in a 117-99 win over the 76ers on Tuesday. He has scored at least 30 points in three of his last four games while being incredibly efficient from the field. Brown is shooting 63% while averaging 29.5 ppg over that span.
The 27-year-old has shot at least 50% in seven of his last eight games. Brown, who played in his third All-Star Game this season, is averaging 22.3 points, 5.5 rebounds and 3.7 assists in his eighth NBA year. The Celtics play the Mavericks, who rank 21st in scoring defense while allowing 117.6 ppg. Dallas has allowed at least 120 points in three straight games, and Brown had 34 points against Dallas in their first meeting of the year.
Another part of McClure’s optimal NBA DFS strategy includes Raptors center Jakob Poeltl ($6,400 on DraftKings and $7,400 on FanDuel). He had strong contributions in nearly every stat category in a 136-125 loss to the Mavs on Friday with 16 points, seven rebounds, six assists, four steals and two blocks. The 28-year-old is averaging 14.3 points, 10 rebounds and 5.3 assists over his last three games.
Poeltl is second in the NBA in field goal percentage (66%) as the 7-footer does most of his damage near the rim. He’s become more aggressive with his shot lately and more involved in the offensive game plan, recording at least 10 shots in five of his last six games. The Raptors play the Warriors, who played in New York on Thursday night, so they could have some fatigue in the second half of a road back-to-back. Thus, Kaylor likes Poeltl at his price point as an addition to NBA DFS lineups on Friday.
How to set your NBA DFS lineups for Friday, March 1
Kaylor is also targeting a player who could go off for massive numbers on Friday because of a dream matchup. This pick could be the difference between winning your tournaments and cash games or going home with nothing.
