Nets Reportedly Turned Down Rockets’ Jalen Green and Multiple Picks for Mikal Bridges Trade Proposal (Image Source: GettyImages)
The Brooklyn Nets have shown great trust in their star Mikal Bridges as they reportedly rejected a trade proposal from the Houston Rockets. The Rockets are a great team with a lot of great players, however, they offered one of the best to the Nets.
Mikal Bridges has been a great asset to the Brooklyn Nets ever since he became a part of the franchise, He has been a consistent scorer and also a great team player helping his team get through the regular season.
Nets reportedly rejected Rockets’ Jalen Green-Mikal Bridges deal
The Brooklyn Nets have reportedly rejected a great offer from the Houston Rockets. The Rockets offered Jalen Green and a few first-round picks to the Nets in exchange for the star forward Mikal Bridges. However, the offer was not enticing enough for the Nets as they held their belief in the young player.
They valued Bridges more than Grenn and a few draft picks and it is justified as well, Mikal has been the third pillar of the Brooklyn Nets right now. He is in the second position for the franchise’s top scorer and has been a consistent performance especially after Ben Simmons was ruled out for the remainder of the season
Why does Mikal fit so well with the Nets?
Mikal Bridges has become a Nets player inside out, he has been great for the franchise and it was reported that the franchise was building around Bridges. However, Mikal is not a star player, he doesn’t possess the qualities to differentiate himself as a player like LeBron James or Stephen Curry. This doesn’t mean Bridges is a bad player, he is an outstanding performer but lacks star quality.
However, Mikal Bridges is the best second player on any team he plays. This is his unique quality, Bridges is a great second man at the Nets elevating the play of any player playing the game alongside him. He is a core member of the Nets’ plans and will stay at the franchise for some while. If the Nets are successful in acquiring a star-caliber talent the Bridges will be the best man to pair up with him and change the state of the Brooklyn Nets.
What do you think of the Nets rejecting the offer of the Rockets? What do you think of Mikal Bridges? We are eager to know your thoughts, so drop down in the comments section and let us know.
