One of the Atlanta Hawks’ top players will be making a huge return to the court tonight when the team travels to Chicago to play the Bulls. Jalen Johnson’s return for the upcoming NBA round will be a huge comeback to the Atlanta Hawks’ roster.

The forward will return to the Hawks after missing thirty days of action, according to Shams Chanaria of The Athletic. Johnson suffered a sprained left ankle on March 18 and has been out since. His return comes at a crucial time for the previously successful Atlanta Hawks.

Hawks forward Jalen Johnson (sprained ankle) will return tonight vs. the Bulls. Johnson – in a career season averaging 16.1 points, 8.6 rebounds, and 3.5 assists – has been out since March 18 after suffering an ankle sprain against the Lakers. Shams Chanaria of The Athletic posted on “X” (formerly known as Twitter).

Currently ranked 10th in the Eastern Conference, they have won five of their last eight games, including two amazing triumphs over the Boston Celtics, one of the league’s top teams this season.

Jalen Johnson will make a great impact with his comeback

Johnson’s right ankle sprain will end his six-game layoff, but his availability may be restricted. With 51 games played (48 starts), the third-year forward is having an outstanding season, averaging 16.1 points, 8.6 rebounds, 3.5 assists, 1.1 steals, and 0.9 blocks in 34.0 minutes per game.

This is great news for the Hawks. There is no other player on the Hawks’ roster who can perform as well as Johnson does. He is one of the NBA’s most improved players.

The status of rookie guard Kobe Bufkin, who hasn’t played since March 2nd against Brooklyn, is another issue to monitor. If Trent Forrest returns tonight, Bufkin will most likely take on his role as the backup point guard.
