Brandon Pettigrew Has Been In Trouble With The Law Before
Brandon Pettigrew played seven seasons in the NFL. He spent his entire career with the Lions after the team selected him as the 20th overall pick out of Oklahoma State in 2009. He was an effective player early on in his career and recorded consecutive seasons of over 70 catches and 700 yards in 2020 and 2011. However, his usage as a passer dipped after that, as he made just 17 receptions for 137 yards over his last two seasons in the league.
The 39-year-old played 93 games for the Lions, making 301 receptions for 2,965 yards and 17 touchdowns. He held the record for the most catches and yards by a Lions tight end until last season.
TMZ reports that Sunday’s arrest was Pettigrew’s third since he retired from the NFL.
He was arrested for suspicion of disorderly conduct at an Oklahoma nightclub in 2017. One year later, he was arrested again, this time for punching a police officer in Pittsburgh.
