Draymond has been a constant figure of trouble for the Warriors this season. He has been ejected quite a few times this season and was even suspended multiple times for his violent acts on the court. However, Kerr’s statements shed light on why the Dubs tolerate him despite the shortcomings.
Steve Kerr defends Draymond Green’s on-court chaos with high praise
After the game against the San Antonio Spurs, the head coach of the Warriors showered his praise on Draymond Green. Steve Kerr complimented the Warriors forward on his defensive prowess following a great defensive performance by Green. “Draymond, he is a genius defensively,” said Kerr, complimenting Draymond’s defensive capabilities.
The Athletic also addressed the recent issues of the Warriors star and detailed why the franchise doesn’t do much about it. “The Warriors feel so let down at times by Draymond because he has lifted them up too often, too. It’s not just one thing. With Draymond and the Warriors’ dynasty, it’s always both,” wrote Tim Kawakami, senior columnist for The Athletic.
Draymond explains his on-court behavior
Draymond Green has seen plenty of drama this season alone that many of the NBA stars have not seen in their career. The Warriors star has been actively involved in violent altercations that end up in him getting ejected or even worse suspended. Green has failed to learn from his past mistakes and still continues his on-court outburst.

Green explained his problematic on-court behavior recently. “I am, sitting here talking to you the person I am on the basketball court, they are not the same. It is almost like, I know I probably sound crazy talking like this but I got an alter ego or something. When I am competing on the court, when I am doing my job, that is not the same person you are going to deal with on a daily… And I am totally fine with that,” said Green hinting that he might have an alter ego that takes him over on the basketball court.
