In an interview with NFL on NBC Mahomes revealed his admiration for the former NBA star Carmelo Anthony. “At that time, I was a Carmelo Anthony fan. I was, like, going the other way. You had LeBron, everyone was LeBron’s fan, so I love LeBron, but at the same time, I kinda of wanted to have that guy. It was the Denver Nuggets, him shooting a three sign at the side of the head and going to the Knicks, so I was a big Carmelo fan growing up,” said Patrick.

Mahomes talked about the iconic celebration of Carmelo Anthony in which he pointed three fingers to the side of his head. The former Heat and Nuggets star decided to hang his boots last year after spending 19 seasons in the league. He left behind a great legacy at the Nuggets and earned the NBA All-Star title 10 times.
