‘Whole Family Think They Kobe’: Jayson Tatum’s Son Deuce Sends Fans Into Frenzy After Recreating Lakers Legend’s Iconic Moment
It appears that Jayson Tatum’s son, Jayson “Deuce” Christopher Tatum Jr., is already making a nаme for himself in the basketball world. Following the Celtics’ recent victory, Tatum shared a photo on Instagram of Deuce sitting with a basketball trophy in the classic Kobe Bryant pose. The post generated a frenzy on the internet, with fans leaving comments suggesting that the Tatum family sees themselves as the next generation of basketball icons.
Since Deuce’s birth in December 2017, he has captured the hearts of Boston Celtics fans and has become an honorary member of the team. The Celtics frequently feature Deuce on their social media platforms, showcasing memorable moments such as a pre-game hype video supporting former Coach Ime Udoka and proudly presenting his dad with the All-Star ring.
Deuce has already experienced being in the spotlight despite his young age. Fans have seen him jumping into his dad’s lap during post-game interviews, and during the 2022 Eastern Conference Semifinals, he whispered something to his father that melted the hearts of those who watched. When given the microphone, Deuce declared, “I will go swimming!” in an adorable moment.
It seems that Deuce is following in his father’s footsteps by participating in a program that focuses on both basketball and academics. The “No Book No Ball” program, founded by Anthony (Tony) Richards Sr. in 1991, aims to teach the fundamentals of basketball to youngsters aged 6 to 17 in underserved neighborhoods of Boston. The program has three divisions: ρee Wee (6-9 years old), Junior (10-13 years old), and Youth (14-17 years old). Deuce appears to be honing his skills in the ρee Wee division.
With his early exposure to the game and his passion for basketball, Deuce Tatum may very well be on his way to becoming an MVP in the future, following in the footsteps of his talented father. Celtics fans and basketball enthusiasts will undoubtedly be keeping a close eye on his development.
