The reboot of the franchise brings about heated and passionate debate. Many are nostalgic and reluctant to accept new casting for the reboot, they feel that the movies are an icon. To be fair the movies are good but not iconic, there were numerous discrepancies, plot holes, and characters arcs left open.

Even when the films had released there was a lot of criticism around it. The reboot will give the makers a chance to incorporate all of the feedback and build a more immersive world. All characters and story arcs can be completed, with more diverse casting and fool-proof scripts.

J.K. Rowling The Harry Potter show will have seven seasons, so every season will be based on each book, and like that there can easily be seven seasons. The author of the books will continue to play an active role in the whole process. It might raise some flags and backlash, but the reboot in itself is a little bit of a gamble which has become more dangerous after Rowling’s public comments about the LGBTQ community.
