Dua Lipa has revealed she has quit smoking during an appearance on Late Night With Seth Meyers on Tuesday.
The pop star, 27, had only initially managed to kick the habit for her Future Nostalgia tour in 2022 in order to make sure her vocal health was at its best – but has now announced she has stopped altogether.
She told host Seth: ‘I was smoking cigarettes at the time… But I’ve stopped. I’ve quit, guys.’
It is not clear exactly when the Houdini hitmaker began smoking, but after suffering from laryngitis in December 2021 she felt the need to quit for the sake of her tour and later gushed about how much ‘confidence’ quitting had given her.
Speaking on her At Your Service podcast, she revealed: ‘I had laryngitis in December and that kind of kickstarted me quitting smoking a month earlier than I was supposed to. But I did it and I have stuck to it.

‘I feel so excited and there is a lot of adrenaline – and sometimes I don’t feel confident at all.
‘There are moments when I am on stage every night and, yeah I am quite exposed, and I am dancing and performing and I feel like I have to work out and stay really healthy in order to feel good about myself.
‘So I only like to do things that make me feel good and that also helps with my confidence.’
However, the Grammy Award-winning star wrapped up her Future Nostalgia tour in November 2022, and just under a year later in the summer of 2023 – amid the success of starring in summer smash hit Barbie – Dua posted a snap of herself on Instagram where she was seen lighting up whilst posing in a tropical location.
Dua, who recently stunned in a dramatic black gown at the Golden Globes, cut a more causal figure as she arrived at the TV studio, following her glammed-up appearance on Sunday.
She looked typically stylish in a grey trench coat and matching trousers, teamed with a white bodysuit.

Dua recently shared an hilarious clip to her Instagram of her awkwardly attempting to sit in a chair after she was told to sit down in her black Schiaparelli bone gown.
Dua comedically lowered herself into her golden-coloured chair as she stayed in a slanted plank position as her waist-cinching dress was too tight to bend in.
As she awkwardly placed her arm over the back of the chair to stabilise herself, she uncomfortably smiled before puckering her lips into a pout.
In an album of snaps from the evening, the New Rules hitmaker captioned the posted: ‘Thank you @goldenglobes for such a beautiful night last night – the only thing missing was a reclining chair.’
The impractical garment boasted glittering gold detailing and a dramatic ruffled puff skirt.
She accessorised the glamorous outfit with a dazzling yellow necklace and a number of small silver hoop earrings.
During the evening, Dua was nominated for Best Original Song – Motion Picture award for her hit single Dance The Night from the Barbie movie.
But the first-time nominee lost to Billie Eilish and Finneas, who won for their emotional ‘What Was I Made For?’, also from the Barbie movie.

It comes after Dua treated her fans to a series of hilarious tipsy selfies after indulging in a boozy New Year’s Eve celebration in Jaipur, India, with her family last week.
The singer enjoyed a few too many potent cocktails as she enjoyed a raucous party to ring in 2024.
The hitmaker took to Instagram to share some snaps from the evening and told her followers she had enjoyed five negronis and was feeling silly.
Wrapped up in a white dressing gown at the end of the night, Dua pulled a series of funny faces as she posed for close-up shots.
