The upcoming film with Cavill will mix war, wits, espionage and all the intellectual intelligence that one could think of.
There will always be enough room for a wacky and cynical action film on the release schedule, and in the future, Henry Cavill is all set to bring The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare, a film by prolific director Guy Ritchie, which is setting itself up to be a promising movie.
Even with just the trailer, it has showcased just how unhinged it’s willing to be to achieve that wow-factor from the audience.

To corroborate that belief, Cavill’s co-star from the movie, Alex Pettyfer, has laid down the things that make this worth everyone’s time. In a recent interview, the star revealed that this film has hints of several past classics like Robert Downey Jr.’s Sherlock Holmes series and Brad Pitt’s Inglourious Basterds through its progression.

Everyone expected British actor Henry Cavill to make a comeback in the film industry after he left both his roles as Superman in the DCEU and Geralt of Rivia in the hit Netflix series The Witcher, and 2024 seems to be the year he does so with a bang.
After the release of his spy/action film Argylle a little more than a month back, the star is ready with another war/action film in the pipeline.
With the Immortals star soon to be seen in filmmaker Guy Ritchie’s upcoming The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare, his co-star from the project, Alex Pettyfer sat down with MovieWeb for an interview, where he talked about how this film was an amalgamation of many great action and war-era films that people loved in the past.
Along with Cavill’s own The Man from U.N.C.L.E, this movie also has hints of Oscar-winning actor Robert Downey Jr.‘s Sherlock Holmes series, along with Brad Pitt and filmmaker Quentin Tarantino’s Inglorious Basterds, which will all make for a wild ride for the audience. He said:
“The film has an unbelievable cast. Dear friends of mine, Eiza González, Henry Cavill. Henry Golding, Alan Ritchson, Hero Fiennes Tiffin, and it is an absolute wild ride. I can’t give you anymore, but it is a wild, wild, wild ride. My favorite films of Guy’s, and in general, are Sherlock Holmes, The Man from U.N.C.L.E. This is like meshing these films together with a little pinch of Inglourious Basterds and just a little pinch of Snatch. It’s a very good film.”
Thus, with so many high praises and parallel comparisons to some exceptional films, Pettyfer has definitely hyped up the public for his upcoming movie.
What Is The Ministry Of Ungentlemanly Warfare About?

Considering that this film is based on real-life historical events that took place during The Second World War, The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare was created with the unhinged filmmaking style of Ritchie and is sure to leave an impression on the public.
The film follows the events that led to the creation of the Special Operations Executive, the covert British World War II organization that was formed in 1940 by then-Prime Minister Winston Churchill to give Great Britain an edge over its enemies.
The film will tell the tale of the covert operatives who were sent on Espionage and Reconnaissance missions into Nazi-occupied Europe and how it changed history to what we know today.
The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare, in cinemas on 19th April, 2024.
