Now, Jada is on a press tour revealing that she and Will have secretly been completely separated for the last 7 years, and they are growing tired of maintaining the facade.

In an interview with Hoda Kotb of the Today Show, Jada admitted that they have been apart since 2016. Despite living separately, she made a promise to never get a divorce and has been unable to break that promise. However, it’s clear that Jada Pinkett Smith and Will Smith are not what they seem. While some may see Jada’s openness about their separation as brave, it’s actually quite basic. Hollywood portrays them as aspirational, but in reality, they are fraudulent.

The interview circulating, where Hoda and the Today Show cast applaud Jada’s bravery, is misleading. Jada and Will have presented a facade of a happy couple for years while preaching about relationships on Red Table Talk. In reality, there was nothing brave or honest about their actions. Jada has been caught lying before, such as when she appeared on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, pretending they were still together.

Jada’s affair with August Alsina, a friend of her son Jaden, further reveals the deceit in their relationship. She cheated on Will while they were married, which has likely had a significant impact on their children. Despite their public image, Jada’s obsession with Tupac and her lifestyle choices indicate a different reality. She craves something more than what Will offers, portraying herself as part of the streets while trying to convince others of their ideal family life.

Will Smith is addressing the long-standing rumors that he and his wife, Jada Pinkett Smith, have an open marriage. In his November GQ cover story, the “Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” star admits their relationship began with monogamy but then evolved.

“Jada never believed in conventional marriage … Jada had family members that had an unconventional relationship. So she grew up in a way that was very different than how I grew up,” Smith explained to the magazine.

“There were significant endless discussions about, what is relational perfection? … And for the large part of our relationship, monogamy was what we chose, not thinking of monogamy as the only relational perfection.”

The “King Richard” star explained that he and the “Gotham” alum have “given each other trust and freedom” within their union because for them, marriage “can’t be a prison.”

“I don’t suggest our road for anybody. I don’t suggest this road for anybody,” he noted. “But the experiences that the freedoms that we’ve given one another and the unconditional support, to me, is the highest definition of love.”

Smith, 53, also acknowledged that his wife’s “entanglement” with August Alsina made it seem like she was the only one to have an extramarital affair, but “that was not, Smith delicately explained to me, in fact the case,” the author of the piece noted.

“The public has a narrative that is impenetrable,” said Smith, who is also set to release his memoir, “Will,” in November.

In July 2020, the couple, who married in 1997, revealed they had been secretly separated when she had her tryst with Alsina.

“We did everything we could to get away from each other, only to realize that’s not possible,” Jada told Will during their “Red Table Talk.”

Will then joked about supporting his wife through her “transgressions,” leading Jada to say, “I actually don’t look at it as a transgression at all. Through that particular journey, I learned so much about myself and was really able to confront a lot of emotional immaturity, emotional insecurity — and I was really able to do some really deep healing.”
