Sam Thompson and Zara McDermott have been dating for a number of years and have previously spoken about their plans to get married and have children in the future

Sam Thompson and Zara McDermott are one of the UK’s biggest celebrity couples, both with successful careers of their own, however, they’ve revealed that they’re not ready for kids any time soon.

Former Made in Chelsea star Sam, 31, and Love Island alumna Zara, 27, initially began dating in 2019. However, their relationship hit a rough patch, leading to a split a year later after Zara admitted to infidelity. In 2020, they reconciled after Sam chose to forgive her, and since then, their bond has grown stronger.

Both Sam and Zara boast significant followings on Instagram and have appeared on various reality shows. Sam even clinched the title of King of the Jungle on ITV’s I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! in 2023, while Zara showcased her dancing skills on BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing.

On Sunday, April 15, Sam treated his Instagram followers to a humorous video featuring himself, Zara, his sister Louise Thompson, her partner Ryan Libbey, and his best friend Pete Wicks. The video hinted that Sam and Zara aren’t currently planning to expand their family anytime soon.

Accompanied by a caption that read, “Saw a couple do this on TikTok and couldn’t relate more @louise.thompson @ryan.libbey,” Sam introduced the comical scene in the video. The clip, inspired by a popular TikTok trend, featured Zara and Sam seated opposite Louise and Ryan. Together, they lip-synced to the infectious beat of Prada by casso, D-Block Europe, and RAYE, capturing a lighthearted moment of shared amusement.

The video kicks off with Zara dramatically mouthing the words: “Twenty-two, I’m in Paris, baby/ Got a stripper’s t*ts in my face, uh-huh,” which prompts a priceless reaction from Louise and Ryan. Zara goes on with, “Roll up in a Bentley I want Christian,” while Sam chimes in with a cheeky, “I want Fendi.”

Adding a playful twist to the situation, Zara wrapped up the video by belting out the lyrics: “I want Prada, ah, ah,” drawing laughter from Louise and Ryan. The scene concluded with Pete joining Sam to lend his vocal contribution to the musical rendition. Sam later shared the footage with the caption: “Explaining to my sister why we haven’t given her son a cousin yet,” injecting humor into the discussion about their decision not to have children just yet.

On seeing the whimsical post-documentary maker Zara promptly commented: “It’s the end for me… our child,” seemingly referring to Pete Wicks. Louise added her thoughts with: “THE WHOLE TEAM-SHEET.”

Fellow reality star Georgia Kousoulou was tickled by the video saying: “I’ve watched this 10 times,” while Anna Williamson was quick to praise the comical clan.

The playful post entertained fans, as one commented: “How do you get Pete to agree to these,” and another wrote about the amusing finale: “It’s Pete over the shoulder at the end lol.”

In an interview with OK! last year, Sam revealed that he and Zara aren’t considering parenthood in the near future. “Not in the immediate future,” he shared. “I want kids eventually, but when you have them, you have to give them your whole life, and I’m not ready for that yet.

“Myself and Zara are both so busy doing things that we absolutely adore, and we are just enjoying life at the moment. I want to be selfish for a little bit longer,” he added.
