The amicable relationship between Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield has captured the hearts of many. Their supportive dynamic, even post-breakup, continues to garner admiration. This sentiment was further solidified by a recent viral video showcasing their genuine friendship.

To jog your memory: Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield, both Oscar-nominated actors, shared the screen in “The Amazing Spider-Man” as Peter Parker and Gwen Stacy. Their on-screen chemistry translated into a real-life romance that lasted four years until their breakup in 2015. Since then, Stone has tied the knot with writer and comedian Dave McCary, and they welcomed their daughter, Louise Jean McCary, who is now two years old.

In a heartwarming gesture, Garfield showed his support for Stone by attending the London screening of her new movie “Poor Things,” which received critical acclaim upon its release on Dec. 8. A viral clip shared on social media shows Stone pointing into the audience before ascending the stairs and blowing kisses. While it’s not explicitly stated who she was acknowledging, many fans speculate that it was Garfield, who was seated in the vicinity of Stone’s gaze.

Another attendee captured a separate video of Garfield and Stone’s co-star Mark Ruffalo sharing an embrace in the theater.

It’s a widely known fact that the two have remained good friends and only have the best things to say about each other in interviews. Most recently, Garfield spoke about Stone on the Happy Sad Confused podcast, when discussing the new Spider-Man series (Tom Holland’s version), in which Garfield makes a cameo.

Garfield amusingly recounted the interaction with Stone, revealing, “Emma kept on texting me, ‘Are you in this new Spider-Man film?’ And I was like, ‘I don’t know what you’re talking about!’ She was like, ‘Shut up, just tell me.’ And like, I honestly … I kept it going, even with her, it’s hilarious. And then she saw it and was like, ‘You’re a jerk!'”

Emma Stone, known for her privacy regarding her personal life, recently shared a rare anecdote about her relationship with husband Dave McCary that piqued fans’ interest. During a conversation with co-hosts Jason Bateman, Sean Hayes, and Will Arnett, Stone disclosed a major mishap that occurred right before her 2020 wedding—an incident that could be considered any bride’s worst nightmare.

“The week that I got married, I did open a refrigerator and the handle broke off,” Stone said during an appearance on the Smartless podcast. “And I got a black eye.”

After that bombshell, she joked, “I need a helmet and extensive therapy.”

Stone has been relatively tight-lipped about her wedding and her marriage to McCary, with whom she shares a 2-year-old daughter named Louise Jean McCary. However, during the podcast discussion, she revealed an interesting detail about her wedding attire. Stone mentioned that she opted to re-wear one of her wedding looks to the 2022 Met Gala. The knee-length dress, adorned with feathers, which she donned for the event themed “In America: An Anthology of Fashion,” was the same outfit she wore to her wedding after-party.

Stone and McCary were originally set to get married in March 2020, but postponed their wedding due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

“She is professional in every way, very talented and focused on her work, and Dave respects that,” a source told People in 2019. “He totally supports her, and is unselfish in his desire for her success. Those are great qualities in a man for someone like Emma. She is impressed by his talent and respects him immensely.”
