Mark Wright is reportedly ‘fuming’ about his ex-girlfriend Lauren Goodger’s return to The Only Way Is Essex, as she brought up their relationship in a new episode of the show
Lauren Goodger’s return to reality TV on the latest series of The Only Way Is Essex has garnered excitement from fans and co-stars alike, marking her comeback after a decade since she rose to fame on the ITVBe show. However, not everyone has been thrilled by her return, particularly her ex-boyfriend Mark Wright.
Lauren, aged 37, and Mark, also 37 and a former TOWIE star, began dating as teenagers and remained in a relationship for a decade until their split in 2011. Both were prominent figures on TOWIE since its debut in 2010.
Lauren’s discussions about her past relationship with Mark on TOWIE have reportedly left Mark unhappy. In an episode aired on April 7, Lauren opened up about her decision to remove an intimate tattoo of Mark’s name while chatting with her close friend Amy Childs.
Amy recalled: “I remember spray-tanning you and being like, ‘oh my god, she’s got “Mark” on her noonie’.” She then asked Lauren: “Have you still got it?” before Lauren replied: “No. It’s gone. It had to go. How could I get with a new boy with that on my noon?”

Now, a source has claimed Mark – who is married to actress Michelle Keegan – wishes his ex “would stop mentioning him”. They claimed he has “moved on from TOWIE” and is “fuming”. The source told The Sun: “Mark wishes Lauren would move on and stop mentioning him – he has moved on from Towie and doesn’t need her bringing up the past. He’s fuming about it but wishes her well.”
OK! has contacted representatives for Mark Wright for comment.

Starting her TOWIE journey alongside Mark, a source shared with OK! that Lauren is hopeful her return will demonstrate her ability to succeed independently of the Wright family. This marks a pivotal moment for her, aiming to step out of Mark’s shadow once and for all.
“She feels like Mark and Michelle are everywhere at the moment following Michelle’s Netflix success,” the source said. “But Lauren wants to prove she can make it without him or his family – and that she’s a star in her own right.”
Michelle Keegan ‘regaining confidence with Mark Wright’s help’ after horrific bullying and trolling
It’s unfortunate to hear that Michelle Keegan has faced trolling and bullying in the past, but it’s great to know that she’s found support in her husband Mark Wright and has learned to cope with it. Dealing with online negativity can be challenging, and having a supportive partner can make a big difference in navigating such situations.
There’s no stopping former Coronation Street star Michelle Keegan – she’s gone from strength to strength since leaving the soap including lead roles in Our Girl and Brassic.
But it’s the 36 year old’s recent critical acclaim following the release of Netflix thriller Fool Me Once, a Harlan Coben special drama, that really cemented her stardom.
However, the actress – who is married to TOWIE’s Mark Wright – has sadly been affected by vile trolls on her rise to fame and a source has told OK! that the Stockport-born actress has been struggling. Now, with the help of husband Mark, she’s learned how to ignore the haters.
They said: “Michelle has always said she wishes she was more fiery but she’s such a sweet and kind girl, she’s not controversial, it’s just not her. She has struggled with trolling in the past but thankfully it’s calmed down recently with her success, Mark has really shown her how to be more confident and brush it off.”
The source added: “With the success of Fool Me Once she’s starting to realise how much of a star she is, the bigger she gets the more confident she gets as well, so she’s really gained that and is feeling good.”
Michelle is, sadly, no stranger to abuse from strangers.
When she was a teenager, walking home from school was so traumatic for the Coronation Street star that her stomach would churn with nerves.
As she covered the short distance from the bus stop to her house, she would be subjected to a barrage of jeering and abuse from a group of schoolchildren.
Opening up on her experience with bullying, Michelle said: “I was only about 13 at the time so I was really scared. People are always braver in numbers and when they see someone on their own they tend to single them out.”

It’s disheartening to hear about Michelle’s past experiences with bullying, especially for reasons as arbitrary as wearing a different school uniform. It’s a testament to her strength that she found ways to navigate through such challenges. Michelle’s portrayal of Tina McIntyre on Coronation Street, a character known for her resilience and assertiveness, seems to have provided her with a cathartic outlet for expressing herself. Despite the difficulties she’s faced, it’s evident that Michelle remains grounded and focused on her career, even as she grapples with the complexities of fame and its impact on her personal life.open up about how her fame can impact her family.

When on Fearne Cotton’s Happy Place podcast, Michelle candidly shared that even her mum has been trolled after being snapped with Michelle.
Discussing how she’s received negative comments before but that it’s worse when it’s about her family, the star explained: “When it affects my family, that’s when it’s hurtful.
“I remember once I stepped out of a restaurant with my mum and we got pictured and I remember my mum reading the article and she read the comments,” she continued.
It’s heartbreaking to hear how Michelle’s mom was affected by the negativity she faced. It’s understandable how such experiences can impact not just the individual, but also their loved ones. It’s admirable to see Michelle focusing on her work and moving forward positively. Her role in Ten Pound Poms sounds intriguing, and it’s great to see her back on set, showcasing her talent in such a compelling series.
