A new 007 has yet to be announced.
Fleabag alum Andrew Scott thinks that his All of Us Strangers co-star Paul Mescal should don a tuxedo as the new James Bond.
After Daniel Craig put the (shaken not stirred) Martini down for the final time with No Time To Die, fans have been clamouring for news about the new 007.
Well, Scott told Variety while promoting the LGBTQ+ fantasy drama All of Us Strangers, from director Andrew Haigh, that Bond producers should look no further than Mescal himself.

“He’d probably be a great James Bond,” said Scott, who starred in 2015 Bond movie Spectre. However, he has since expressed regrets over that role.
Scott then revealed to Variety that Mescal has sent him photos from the set of Gladiator 2, which is Ridley Scott’s follow-up to the 2000 Russell Crowe movie.
“It’s gonna be incredible. It’s so exciting. I’ve seen some images that are going to delight the world over,” Scott said.

The acclaimed All of Us Strangers is set to be a big awards player this season and recently won 7 BIFAs including Best Film and Best Supporting Performance for Mescal, while Scott has just been nominated for a Golden Globe for his performance.
Scott explained that while he didn’t know Mescal particularly well before they shot the film, they did know of each other enough for it to help their characters’ relationship in the film.
“We knew each other a little before, just the right amount. We want to have that freestyle.
We wanted that sexy feeling that when people who don’t sort of know each other and gradually as the story goes on they become more comfortable with each other… And we both really admire each other’s work so much, so it was really really easy,” Scott said.
