Arnold Schwarzenegger has opened up on his family life and revealed the sweet name give to him by daughter Katherine Schwarzenegger’s kids
Arnold Schwarzenegger might have been one of the world’s strongest men, but when it comes to his grandkids he appears to melt.
The Terminator star, 76, is grandfather to his daughter Katherine Schwarzenegger’s two little girls she shares with actor Chris Pratt; Eloise Christina, 16 months, and Lyla Maria, 3. And the muscle man has opened up on the sweet title the youngsters have given him as he enjoys the next stage of life.

In a discussion with People, the former governor of California discussed how the title is German for grandfather.
Arnie, of Austrian heritage, said: “It’s just such a fun thing to do because it’s kind of like I [didn’t] know how good I would be [at being a grandfather] but I have the animals so it’s an easy thing.”
Opening up on family life, Arnie admitted that the first thing Katherine’s daughters do when they come over to Opa’s house is to look for his little dog called Cherry. “Where’s Cherry?’ Which is my little dog,” Arnold revealed of the interaction.
“I say, ‘Cherry’s waiting for you.’ ‘Mommy, can we go over to see Opa, to see Cherry?’ ‘Sure, we go tomorrow.’ So they come over: ‘Cherry, Cherry, Cherry’ and she holds Cherry in her lap.”

Arnie also opened up on the “life lesson” he taught his kids, in particular Katherine, after admitting to throwing her shoes into the fire.
He mentioned how Katherine now uses the same parenting methods that she once hated on her child Lyla.
“You could talk to them about what they liked about their upbringing because they have very humorous stories,” Arnold started.
“The first one is Katherine … As a matter of fact, Katherine comes over with Lyla and she says, ‘Lyla, I told you already not to put the shoes there.
Keep your shoes on or you put them away, but you don’t leave them there by the stand in front of the fireplace because you know what Daddy did?'”
“‘When I left my shoes there twice? The third time, he burned them in front of me and I cried,'”
