Lady Gaga is ready to step back into the music scene.
During a Q&A at the Los Angeles premiere of her new HBO concert special, Gaga Chromatica Ball, on Thursday, May 23, the singer, 38, opened up about plans to release new music. (The star teased the release of “LG7” during the final moment of her most recent concert film.)
“I am in the studio every single day. I have written so many songs, I’ve been producing so many songs, and it’s nothing like anything that I’ve ever made before,” Gaga said.
“I love to break genre, and I love to explore music,” she continued.

Gaga’s upcoming release will mark her latest album following The Fame (2008), The Fame Monster (2009), Born This Way (2011), Artpop (2013), Joanne (2016) and Chromatica (2020).
The 13-time Grammy winner also worked on collaborative albums with Tony Bennett — 2014’s Cheek to Cheek and 2021’s Love for Sale — and collaborated heavily on the A Star Is Born soundtrack that accompanied the 2018 film of the same name.
In recent months, Gaga has shared photographs and videos of herself in the studio, seemingly working on her next project.
Gaga shared a post in February that showed her leaning over a piano. A month before, she posted an image of herself from the recording studio.

During her Gaga Chromatica Ball premiere this week, Gaga wore a white, strapless Selva gown that featured hole detailing and included a white metal structure.
For the Q&A portion of the event, Gaga slipped into a black look that was complete with a structural lace jacket and an eye mask.
The new film follows Gaga’s 2022 Chromatica Ball tour stop at Dodger Stadium, where she performed hits like “Just Dance,” “Poker Face” and “Born This Way” to a sold-out crowd of 52,000 people.
Gaga Chromatica Ball premieres Saturday, May 25, at 8 p.m. EST/PST on HBO and will be available to stream on Max.
