They both beat out Norah Jones’ Til We Meet Again (Live) Tori Kelly’s A Tori Kelly Christmas, Ledisi’s Ledisi Sings Nina, Willie Nelson’s That’s Life and Dolly Parton‘s A Holly Dolly Christmas.
The win marks the 13th for Lady Gaga from 34 nominations and the 19th for Tony Bennett from 41 nominations.
Their album is also nominated for Album of the Year along with three awards for their song I Get A Kick Out of You – Best Music Video Of the Year, Best Pop Duo/Group Performance and Record of the Year.
Gaga also performed live at the MGM Grand Garden Arena at the event, though her collaborator Bennett didn’t join her, due to his continuing battle with Alzheimer’s Disease.
The pair released Love for Sale, on October 1, as a follow up to their Grammy-winning 2014 album Cheek to Cheek.
Love for Sale is their second collaborative album that Gaga and Bennett have released, following 2014’s Cheek to Cheek.
The record debuted at #8 on the Billboard album charts, and they filmed an episode of MTV Unplugged in December.
A new documentary entitled The Lady and the Legend, featuring footage from both albums, will be released on Paramount Plus in 2022.
