“I keep having this nightmare.”
Miley Cyrus has opened up about the very disturbing reason why she quit smoking weed and it’s a literal horror story. Well, more of a nightmare.
The ‘Wrecking Ball’ singer made the revelation during an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon this week.

Miley Cyrus Reveals Her Reasons for Quitting Weed
“I’ve always been very stoned on your shows, I don’t know if you know this,” she said.
“It’s weird to be here. Remember the last time I was here, I was dressed like a bunny rabbit and then a cat? There’s a reason for that – I was high.”
Speaking about her decision to quit drinking and smoking, Miley revealed she would keep having a recurring nightmare whenever she got high.
Indeed, she found the dream so unsettling, it inspired her to change her lifestyle.

“I had a dream that I would die during my monologue on SNL, that I would get so stoned and die,” she explained, before adding that she even turned to Google to make sure something similar has never happened before (on Saturday Night Live or anywhere else, for that matter).
“That’s never happened,” she added. “But I keep having this nightmare.”

During the interview, Miley also revealed how her passion for her new music inspired her to get sober.
“I loved making this record so, so much,” she said.
“This record for me at this moment is the most important album I’ve ever made.
“I wanted to make sure I was super clear when I’m talking.”
