Sylvester Stallone has denied claims that his 25-year marriage ended because of his dog.

On Wednesday (August 24), it was reported that Stallone’s wife Jennifer Flavin filed for divorce because they fought over a young Rottweiler named Dwight.

The argument was said to have started as Flavin didn’t want another animal, while Stallone wanted the dog for “protection” – allegedly leading to an “extremely heated argument that brought up other issues”.

But Stallone is denying allegations his dog played a role in the couple’s split.

“We didn’t end the relationship over such a trivial argument,” the “Rocky” star, 76, told  TMZ , though he admitted the couple disagreed on “how to take care of the dog” as they often travel. and live in two houses.

Stallone explained the surprise split as the couple simply going “in different directions”.

“I have great respect for Jennifer. I will always love him. She is an amazing woman. She is the best person I have ever met,” he added.

He also cleared the air about a tattoo Flavin covered with a portrait of his dog, Dwight.
