Juventus will have to pay Cristiano Ronaldo more than 10 million euros. This is the salary his old team still owes him during the Covid-19 epidemic.

La Gazzetta dello Sport and Italian media simultaneously confirmed that Juventus will have to pay a total of 10 million euros for Cristiano Ronaldo .

Initially, CR7 asked for 20 million euros, but the court said there had been negligence between the parties and decided to reduce the amount the “Old Lady” owed the Portuguese superstar.

In June 2023, Ronaldo filed a lawsuit asking Juventus to quickly resolve the unpaid salary. The 39-year-old striker demanded 20 million euros in the deal that Juve agreed to defer payment during the early months of the Covid-19 pandemic.

However, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport , Juve’s initial opinion was that Ronaldo gave up this salary when joining MU in August 2021. Therefore, “Old Lady” has no intention of paying CR7.

When he was still playing in Italy, Ronaldo and Juve had an agreement on salary deferral. That was the period when all football activities were suspended for 105 days (from March 9 to June 22, 2020) until football was allowed to resume without spectators.

Ronaldo played for Juve for 3 seasons from 2018 to 2021. He scored 101 goals in 134 matches, won two Serie A championships , one national cup and two Italian Super Cups.

Before Ronaldo, Paulo Dybala also worked with the prosecutor’s office and filed a lawsuit against Juve for unpaid wages. In the end, Dybala reached an agreement to recover 3 million euros in salary, so the lawsuit was canceled.
