Joe Alwyn is a “regular,” according to the Black Dog pub management, who made this hint after Taylor Swift recorded a song about her ex-boyfriend who goes there. 

In her recently released album The Tortured Poets Department, the 34-year-old hitmaker mentioned The Black Dog and bemoaned the fact that her partner didn’t’miss’ her when they were out at the pub.

And now Lily Bottomley, the manager of the South London bar, has revealed that Swift’s 33-year-old actor ex is in fact familiar with the venue.

Bottomley stated to Sky News on Monday, “I don’t want to give too much away.” “Let’s just say that there is a certain blonde regular who comes in frequently.”

Bottomley also mentioned that the Down Bad hitmaker had previously visited the Vauxhall bar for a drink, although she did not say whether Joe, who Swift dated for six years, from 2017 until 2023, was with her.

She also mentioned that “the attention has been pretty overwhelming” ever since Swift named-checked the restaurant on her 17th tune from the new album.

She told the BBC, “We’re just loving it, it’s been so fun. We can’t be happier.”

Swift sings, “And so I watch as you walk/ Into some bar called The Black Dog/ And pierce new holes in my heart,” after mentioning that her boyfriend “forgot” to turn off the location on their phone.

She continues, “And it dawns on me.” How you don’t miss me in The Black Dog is something I simply don’t get.

As she puts the song to bed, she wishes her ex-boyfriend time at the bar.

“And I hope it’s that when you hear The Starting Line played in The Black Dog, you jump up, but she’s too young to know this song that was woven into the tragic tapestry of our dreams.”

Employees at the bar in south London report that sales have “definitely increased” since the singer’s new double album was made available on Friday.

“Yesterday was one of our best Mondays ever,” Bottomley said this morning on the Capital Breakfast program.

Since Swifties, as Taylor’s fandom is known, have taken over the bar, more security personnel has been engaged, and since the release of the new album, the venue has had to turn away customers due to its full capacity.

To capitalize on its sudden notoriety and win over the hitmaker’s followers, the classic English pub has infused its food with a hint of Swiftie flair.

“We have a ‘Swift half pint,’ which individuals can receive for free by singing a line.” Lily remarked, “We love the Swifties! We’ve got a Taylor version of our cocktails and tons of lovely stuff for the Swifties.”\

Like seven other drinking spots name-checked on the LP, The Black Dog is a regular London corner bar with a little beer garden out back, not some high-flying, celebrity-only hangout.

However, Swifties now consider the quaint tavern to be an unofficial landmark because Taylor recommended that she go there with one of her British ex-boyfriends.

Lily claimed that Taylor had not informed the staff that she would be featuring the place in her song, indicating that she was taken aback by the large number of guests.

“We would love to have a debrief with her again, but she didn’t personally alert us,” Lily, a manager at SC Soho, the tiny hospitality firm that runs the Black Dog, said on the radio program.

After producing so much “chaos,” program presenter Chris Stark questioned whether the musician had been “barred from The Black Dog,” given the fact that “there’s like hundreds of people turning up” at the pub.
