Peaky Blinders has wrapped up its TV run after 36 episodes across 6 seasons with the show now available in full on Netflix for fans in nearly every corner of the world.

Though the series is a BBC show, the exclusive international distribution rights for the series lie with Netflix since 2014.

Though writer Steven Knight is secretive about the film spin-off, set during World War II he did tease that a generous budget will allow them to deliver a grand movie. Knight said,

“The biggest difference between a film and TV series is the budget. When you do stuff for TV, you often have to ask people to imagine it. But with a film, you can really do it.

You can blow stuff up. Will Tommy be giving James Bond a run for his money?”

“Maybe. There are parallels. We always thought of Peaky as very cinematic, so we are finally finding a screen big enough for what we want to do.”
