With the (music) world all but falling at the feet of a certain Lady GaGa, it appears Pop princess Katy Perry is not amongst them.

Indeed, in the latest issue of Rolling Stone magazine, the 25 year old  took specific aim at the ‘Bad Romance’ singer’s use of shock tactics and religion.

Raised in a devout Christian household (by Pastor parents), Perry admits in the feature to being somewhat of a contradiction, due to her own racy lyrics and image. However, she goes on to say:

“I am sensitive to Russell [Brand, her fiance] taking the Lord’s name in vain and to Lady Gaga putting a rosary in her mouth. I think when you put sex and spirituality in the same bottle and shake it up, bad things happen.”

Again acknowledging her own shortcomings (and taking a pop at GaGa), Perry tells the iconic magazine:

“Yes, I said I kissed a girl, but I didn’t say I kissed a girl while f***ing a crucifix.”

This marks the second time the ‘California Gurls’ singer has hit out at GaGa. In June, immediately following the premiere of GaGa’s controversial ‘Alejandro’ video, Perry tweeted:

“blasphemy as entertainment is as cheap as a comedian telling a fart joke.”

Ahh Pop beef. Who would have ever thought?!
