Online rumors of actor Macaulay Culkin‘s death have been revealed to be a hoax, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed.

Claims about the 34-year-old Home Alone star’s alleged death began circulating on Thursday. The actor’s reps told The Hollywood Reporter that the news of his alleged death was a hoax.

A number of Twitter users had already begun posting their condolences, assuming the rumors to be true.

This is the second time this year that Culkin has been the subject of false death rumors, with his reps having dismissed similar rumors in April.

Culkin’s band, The Pizza Underground, is scheduled to perform on Saturday at the Belmont in Austin, Texas, as part of the Fun Fun Fun Fest.

An Instagram account that claims to belong to The Pizza Underground posted the below photo of Culkin on Saturday, joking about rumors of his death.

Fans believed Macaulay Culkin was dead back in 2014 when rumors began circulating after a post was made on a fake website.

It turns out that everything was fine and Macaulay was actually on tour with his band, The Pizza Underground.

He took to social media to clear things up, and even jokingly posted a photo pretending to be dead.

“He joins the long list of celebrities who have been victimized by this hoax,” his representative said in a statement. “He’s still alive and well, stop believing what you see on the Internet.”
