In a recent update from a source who exclusively spoke to PEOPLE, it appears that Miley was ‘unaware’ of the reasons that led to this drama unfolding in her family.

“Miley had no idea about the drama with Dominic. No idea at all,” the insider said.

Miley and her mom have always been very close though, to which the source said, “She confronted her mom about it. She thinks it’s a strange situation, but she loves her mom and wants her to be happy.”

A few days before this revelation, an insider told the outlet that Noah, 24, and Purcell, 54, had a prior romantic involvement that ended before the actor and Tish began their own relationship journey.

“Noah and Dominic were seeing each other in a friends with benefits way, off and on.

They stopped seeing each other and then Tish started something up. Tish knew he had been seeing Noah,” the insider said.

“Tish never gave Noah the chance to talk about all of this before they got married,” the source shared.
