A photo of Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow that has been trending on social media has made him a trending topic.
Social media users have highlighted Bengals franchise quarterback Joe Burrow’s haircut for the second consecutive offseason. However, this is not for the same reasons as the previous year.
Images of the former LSU quarterback with long, lush hair that resembles an athletic Anakin Skywalker have social media in stitches.
The picture quickly went viral on X, the website that was once known as Twitter, and people on social media started comparing it to Hayden Christensen’s Anakin Skywalker from the early 2000s Star Wars movies.
Burrow may look different, but he is more focused on returning back to form in 2024 after his 2023 season was cut short due to injuries.
After suffering a wrist injury that ended his season in Week 11, Burrow is one of the best quarterbacks in the game when healthy. Even though he isn’t quite back to full strength yet, Burrow thinks he will have enough time to get ready for the 2024 campaign.
“It’s been a tough several months, but physically, it’s not the worst injury that I’ve had,” Burrow said, per ESPN‘s Ben Baby. “…I’ve been able to really lift and continue my offseason program kind of the way that it always has been.”
Burrow has played in one Pro Bowl, two AFC title games, and one Super Bowl despite missing two of his four NFL seasons due to injury.
Former NFL Cornerback Darius Butler Gives Troubling Update On Joe Burrow’s Recovery Process

On “The Pat McAfee Show,” former NFL cornerback Darius Butler, who also had wrist surgery, was curious if Joe Burrow would be able to regain his former level of performance.
Butler said, “It’s gonna be interesting to see how Joe Burrow takes these falls after that wrist surgery. I had the same surgery, and I’ve lost at least 50% of the movement on that wrist.”
Butler’s admission raises questions about Burrow’s durability and potential to return to his previous level of play.
