Josh Hart’s one easy Knicks slowdown approach Nikola Jokic

The New York Knicks star Josh Hart was recently asked about his plan to stop the Joker from running rampant on the court. Hart had a one-word response and to sum up his plan, he said, “Pray.” Hart is very right in his opinion as Nikola Jokic has been an unstoppable force this season as well. It has become a regular job for him to drop twenty-five or more points in every match he plays.

He is averaging 26.1 points, 12.3 rebounds, and 9.0 assists this season. It is a very impressive stat line that makes him a big contender for the MVP of the season. Only a few players in the league can match him this season in terms of performance and consistency. The coaches of many teams have tried different tactics to stop him, however, the Joker shines through them all. Therefore, many teams can only pray to slow down Jokic.

No one can dethrone Jokic from NBA MVP race

Nikola Jokic is currently the favorite to win the NBA MVP of the season. He has been an absolute monster this season, and very few people can overtake him in this race. The odds have favored Jokic to be the winner of the honor followed by OKC’s star player Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. The Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo was in close contention with Jokic early in the season but things changed after mid-season.

Mavs ace Luka Doncic is also tied with the Greek Freak in third place for the honor. However, none of them have shown the potential to dethrone him. If the Joker can keep up his elite level of performance in the playoffs as well it would be very hard for other players to catch up to him.
