James himself is among the most influential NBA players in the world. He has gained worldwide fame through his hard work and dedication to the game. His recent take on the influential players carries some weight given his already popular status.
LeBron James identifies two ‘biggest influential’ NBA players
Lakers star LeBron James recently dropped the names of two players who he believes have influenced the newer generation more than anyone. “Steph (Curry) and Allen Iverson are two biggest influential guys in the game since I have been watching and covering it… they were just so relatable and the kids felt they could be like them,” said Bron on the podcast.
King James is not wrong in his conclusion, the Warriors star Stephen Curry and former NBA star Allen Iverson are some of the most popular NBA stars among the newer generation. Bron reason for their huge influence was the relatability both the stars exhibited to the fans. It is true as Steph and Allen Iverson are no monsters in terms of physical builds. They both are near the average height and weight of any American. Seeing them play at an elite level and in an elite league, gave many young kids hope that they could make a career in the NBA despite not having monstrous builds like LeBron James or Kevin Durant.
LeBron claims Steph Curry changed NBA’s ‘no lead is safe’ narrative
The future Hall of Famer LeBron James delved deep into his opinion of the Warriors star Stephen Curry. In an episode of “Mind the Game” podcast, James said that Curry singlehandedly changed the game’s narrative to ‘no lead is safe’. Bron is absolutely correct in his analysis of Curry, earlier the teams used to play it safe and rest their players in the final quarter after establishing a lead of more than 15 points.
However, ever since Stephen Curry stepped into the NBA, things have changed. He was able to demolish 20 points easily in the final quarter in his early years in the league. As time passed, the NBA’s baby-faced assassin gained more experience and became more precise in his shooting abilities. He single-handedly ushered a new era in the league where taking long attempts with time remaining on the clock became a norm for a lot of teams.
Do you agree with LeBron James’ selection of two players who influenced the younger generation? Do you think that Stephen Curry changed the NBA? We are eager to know your thoughts, so drop down in the comments and let us know.
