LeBron JamesMIAMI, FL – OCTOBER 30: (L) Dwyane Wade #3 of the Miami Heat, (C) Chris Bosh #1 of the Miami Heat and (R) LeBron James #6 of the Miami Heat pose with their 2012 NBA Championship rings prior to the game against the Boston Celtics at American Airlines Arena on October 30, 2012 in Miami, Florida.

Back in 2010, LeBron James decided to join forces with Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh in Miami. This move broke the media as people started to criticise James for creating a superteam that would change the league scenario.

The big three were dominant on the court and no team stood a chance against them but they lost the finals that year, which made room for more criticism by fans and analysts. Even though they won two championships, former NBA champion Paul Pierce thinks that they underachieved their goals during their run.

Paul Pierce claims LeBron James and the others underachieved with the Heat

Miami Heat had the league’s top players on their roster after LeBron James signed with them and was favoured for every matchup as they became a dynasty. The Big Three made 4 straight finals during their time together and won back-to-back championships. But despite their dominance and NBA titles, former NBA champion Paul Peirce is convinced that the dynasty couldn’t live up to their title and couldn’t utilise their power properly.

Pierce said, “Let’s be honest. When we saw that LeBron was going to Miami with D Wade and Chris Bosh, did you not think they would run the table? It was like, that team, nobody can beat them. They should’ve been 1-4, they skated with 2-4 but they probably should’ve won 3 out of 4.”

How many NBA titles has LeBron won with the Heat?

LeBron James is regarded as one of the greatest players ever and has four NBA championships to his name, of which 2 were won with the Miami Heat. After losing to the Dallas Mavericks in 2011, the Heat overcame that tough loss and won back-to-back championships in 2012 against the Oklahoma City Thunder and in 2013 against the San Antonio Spurs.

James was named the finals MVP both times, as he was dominant throughout the regular season and the playoff. In the 2012 finals, James averaged 28.6 points per game, 10.2 rebounds, and 7.4 assists, while in 2013, his averages were 25.3 points per game, 10.9 rebounds, and 7.0 assists.

Whatever people say about the King, he has always proven himself to do what he is criticised for. After 21 seasons, James is still playing like it’s his prime without showing any signs of stopping down and still producing monster performances daily, just like he did back a decade ago when he was in the Miami Heat.
