Dallas Cowboys HC Mike McCarthy
The Dallas Cowboys haven’t done much of anything in free agency due to lack of cap space and having a number of star players that are going to be due for a huge deal soon.

The team could seriously use some help in the backfield after former starting running back Tony Pollard departed via free agency, and they have not done anything to replace him as of yet.

Deuce Vaughn and Rico Dowdle are currently the top two running backs on the Dallas Cowboys’ roster and that is not something the fan base wants to see by the time the regular season begins.

Ever since Ezekiel Elliott began his decline and eventual departure, the Dallas Cowboys have been trying to fix their running back situation. Now, as we approach yet another NFL Draft, the Cowboys, who have just signed Rico Dowdle, now have to find another running back for their roster.

Bleacher Report’s Alex Ballentine has a suggestion in mind and it’s free agent running back J.K. Dobbins.

Baltimore Ravens’ 2020 second-rounder J.K. Dobbins could be a good fit for what the Dallas Cowboys are trying to do on offense.

Now that other top running backs like Josh Jacobs, Saquon Barkley, Aaron Jones, and D’Andre Swift have all found new teams, Dobbins could be next up and just might be wearing a star on his helmet this year.

J.K. Dobbins Could Have Resurgent 2024 Campaign With The Dallas Cowboys

J.K. Dobbins exploded out of his shell as a rookie in 2020, rushing for 805 yards, scoring nine touchdowns, and averaging six yards per carry.

Injuries have since complicated Dobbins’ career as a season-ending knee injury in 2021 essentially derailed 2022 and 2023. He appeared in just one game this past year.

The former Ohio State standout, who rushed for just 22 yards last year, could see a resurgence with the Dallas Cowboys and being in the same backfield as Dak Prescott.
