Former New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick is reportedly planning to write a book.

Belichick is expected to have at least one year off after parting ways with the team at the end of the season, so he should have plenty of time on his hands.

The Athletic reports that the book’s topic is not known right now, but Bill might be inclined to tell his side of the story based on the way he was portrayed in the recent ‘Dynasty’ documentary from Apple TV+.

The report notes: “The nature of the book is not yet fully known. In light of how he was represented in Apple TV’s recent documentary, his side of his legendary nearly quarter-century run would be of great interest. However, Belichick may just write about his views on leadership or a topic in that genre.

Simon & Schuster’s Advid Reader Press, which has previously printed Patriots books, is considered the favorite for publishing.

The company’s director of publicity declined to comment after questions regarding Belichick’s upcoming book were posed. The former coach’s representatives did not return calls either.

Bill Belichick Shocked Everyone By Not Landing A Job In The Most Recent Cycle

While Bill Belichick’s departure from New England didn’t come as a surprise given how bad it’s been since the departure of Tom Brady, that he was not able to land another job was shocking.

The 71-year-old seemed a shoo-in for the Atlanta Falcons job, however, the team opted to go with Raheem Morris instead.

He should still be a candidate for a future coaching job but has also been speaking to networks about broadcasting gigs, though he has reportedly told execs he isn’t as keen on featuring on a weekly pregame set.

A deal with ESPN, Omaha Productions, and NFL Films is thought to be in the works at the moment, while Pat McAfee has said that he would like him on his show.
