An NFL insider has revealed that there is a secret competition brewing between former NFL quarterbacks Tom Brady and Peyton Manning.

While Brady got the better of Manning on the football field, Manning has been winning off it now that they’re both retired. According to Mike Florio of ProFootballTalk, the two men are involved in an unspoken competition to be the first to buy an NFL team.

“Even though he won’t admit it, he’s in competition with Peyton Manning to see who can make the most money off the field to buy a team first,” Florio said on ‘670 The Score.’ “And I think Manning is far ahead of the game. This Omaha Productions thing is a freaking gold mine.”

Tom Brady Is Ahead In The Race, For Now

Tom Brady has been trying to buy a minority stake in the Las Vegas Raiders. But, while he has a deal in place with owner Mark Davis, the move is currently on hold as the NFL has yet to approve it.

The owners did not discuss it at their most recent meeting, but they could decide on it when they meet again later this month. Should it not get approved, Brady might leave it alone and try to become a majority team owner in the future.

Peyton Manning Has His Own Thing Going On

As for Peyton Manning, his Omaha Productions produces ESPN’s ‘Manningcast’ and is also one of the production companies involved in making Netflix’s Quarterback’.

The company is set to bring on Brady’s former coach, Bill Belichick, who will appear on ‘Manningcast’ during the upcoming NFL season after failing to land a coaching job this offseason.
