The NFL schedule release is around the corner, and one of the more talked about teams is the Dallas Cowboys.
The Dallas Cowboys starting the season on the road is a favorite of the schedule creators. Dallas has started the first game away from home for four of the previous six seasons, and this year will be no different.
A new rumor states that the Cowboys will be opening the season on the road at Levi’s Stadium to take on the San Francisco 49ers.

In 2023, the Cowboys had an easier schedule, which allowed them to dominate weaker opponents. They have the 15th-easiest schedule in the league, thus this year’s is not the most difficult one.
Dallas’ schedule features the teams from the AFC North and NFC North, the Detroit Lions, and the San Francisco 49ers, in addition to its annual divisional opponents. Nine of Dallas’ games will be played at AT&T Stadium, while the remaining eight will be played away.
They have home games against the New York Giants, Washington Commanders, Philadelphia Eagles, New Orleans Saints, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Detroit Lions, Baltimore Ravens, Cincinnati Bengals, and Houston Texans.

Before the Dallas Cowboys lost to the Green Bay Packers in the Wild Card round this past season, the team had to deal with the San Francisco 49ers, eliminating them in each of the last two postseasons. Those games were in the divisiona round.
The last time the two teams met in the regular season was October 2023, when the 49ers destroyed Dallas by a score of 42-10.
