“This Ain’t Memphis,”Jock Landale Makes Compelling Appeal to Dillon Brooks Resonating With Majority of Rockets (Image Source: GettyImages)
Dillon Brooks has made a notorious name for himself in the NBA. He has been in the league for quite some time and came to be known as the “villain of the NBA.” It is mainly because of his trash-talking antics that he has followed.
He also has been ejected a lot of times in his career because of his trash-talk leading to altercations. Recently his teammate Jock Landale called him out on the very same habit and it might start an inner conflict in Houston.
Jock Landale has this one request for Dillon Brooks
The Houston Rockets faced the Chicago Bulls recently and it didn’t go well for Dillon Brooks. He was ejected from the game alongside Bulls star DeMar DeRozan. However, Brook’s ejection did not sit right with his teammate Jock Landale. Landale called Brooks out for getting ejected and also made a humble request to the “villain of the NBA.”
“Dillon Brooks, if you are listening. This ain’t Memphis, man. Stop getting yourself ejected. We need you out here. We need that physicality,” said Landale. Brook’s teammate has a point as getting himself ejected as the regular season is about to end is not a very good idea. The Rockets are in a tough spot and need to get as many wins as they can. Losing a talented player such as Brooks because of ejection is a big loss to the Rockets and Dillon needs to think about it.
Why was Brooks ejected vs Bulls?
The Bulls vs Rockets match on Thursday night saw Dillon Brooks and DeMar DeRozan get ejected after they were involved in an altercation. The incident happened in the third quarter with the Rockets leading the game by 9 points. Jalen Green was bringing the ball upcourt and was challenged by DeRozan. Green clashed with him and fell to the ground in pain.
Brooks was quick to come to the aid of his teammate and approached the Bulls star from behind. As DeRozan turned his elbow seemingly hit Brook’s chin. This infuriated the Rockets star and he lashed out at DeMar. Both stars locked their hand and were in a scuffle, the security and the officials on the court had to get involved to separate them. DeMar was given a flagrant foul and was ejected while Brooks received a technical foul and was ejected as well.
What do you think of Jock Landale’s request to Dillon Brooks? What do you think of DeMar and Brooks getting ejected? We are eager to know your thoughts, so drop down in the comments and let us know.
