It comes after three of his former partners met up to share stories of what it was like working with him.

The MailOnline reported on Friday that he will return to Strictly and the BBC had backed him.

Now Amanda appears to have taken a swipe on social media

It read: “Make people feel embarrassed of being associated with misogynists.

“Make misogyny unprofitable for anyone to pursue.

“Deprive misogyny of the oxygen it needs to survive.”

Earlier this week it was another Strictly feud was ‘revealed’ after one of the professional dancers has snubbed Gio on social media.

Vito Coppola, who won the show alongside Ellie Leach last year, has unfollowed the dancer on Instagram.

Actress Amanda, 52, quit the BBC dance competition last year after missing a week due to undisclosed medical reasons and a ‘feud with Giovanni’.

Before quitting Strictly, The Sun exclusively revealed that the duo were clashing behind the scenes and Amanda was upset over Gio’s ‘militant’ approach to training.

The star then complained to the BBC after claiming the show left her suffering with PTSD amid a series of ‘rows’ with her pro partner Gio.

Back in January The Beeb insisted that it was taking Amanda’s Strictly complaint ‘incredibly seriously’.

In a statement a spokesperson for the BBC said they took “duty of care incredibly seriously” after The Sun revealed they would not be launching an independent probe.

A spokesperson for the BBC told The Sun: “The BBC offers a comprehensive range of support to all individuals taking part in our shows.

“Strictly Come Dancing has always taken duty of care incredibly seriously and there is a constant dialogue between senior members of the production team and the contestants to ensure any concerns are addressed swiftly.

“Strictly has a proud track record as a joyful, positive experience where robust support and assistance is always made available at every stage of the production.”

BBC BACK GIO

But the following day it was revealed that the BBC had backed under fire Giovanni after their emergency meeting.

An insider said: “It’s no secret Gio and Amanda had a tricksy relationship — but there are two sides to every story.

“Bosses arranged a call between his management and show execs to discuss recent coverage and make sure he was OK as obviously he’s faced a hell of a lot of stick over the past couple of months.

“The feeling is he is a tough taskmaster, but hasn’t bullied or abused anyone.

“The BBC see him as a key face of Strictly and will do all they can to support him.”

COMPLAINT DROPPED

Last month it was then revealed that Amanda had ditched her complaint against the BBC.

According to the Daily Mail, the star hasn’t been in contact with the channel and insiders told the publication that the matter was considered “closed”.

However Amanda’s rep has denied that is the case.
