This year’s Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue features Brittany Mahomes, the publication announced on Tuesday. Derek Kettela took pictures of the businesswoman in Belize, who is the wife of Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes.

Regardless of how big or tiny the spotlight has been on her, Mahomes has always remained herself.

After her pictures were released, Brittany Mahomes spoke with SI Swimsuit and encouraged everyone.

“As a girl from Tyler, Texas, who only really knew sports, never in a million years did I think I’d be in [the SI Swimsuit Issue],” Mahomes told Sports Illustrated. “I’m just so grateful for this opportunity.”

Mahomes went on to say that she hoped to serve as an inspiration for women everywhere to be true to who they truly are.

“People are going to love you or hate you, but finding your values and what makes you ‘you’ to be the best version of yourself is what really matters,” she said. “Whether that’s health and wellness, being a great wife or mom, or career goals, being the best version of you is the most important thing you can be.”

As for the pictures, Mahomes wore a red bikini in one photoshoot and could also be seen in Instagram snaps in a red and yellow floral bikini.

Patrick Mahomes reposted his wife’s pictures on his Instagram Stories and accompanied three heart-eye emojis. Her brother-in-law, Jackson, wrote in her comments section that she “killed it.”

Sports Illustrated’s Swimsuit Issue will be on newsstands on May 17.

Because Patrick Mahomes is currently the best quarterback in the entire NFL, fans already knew or were well aware of Brittany Mahomes.

Her celebrity status was already in place, but it reached an entirely new level in 2023 when Mahomes and Taylor Swift began a budding friendship after she began dating Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.

The two of them got so close during the games that they even started practicing handshakes and dances to celebrate touchdowns. Her status has undoubtedly grown, and it will only lead to much bigger opportunities in the future.
