Guy Ritchie Drops a Sweet Fact About Henry Cavill, Making Him Even More of a Gentleman
“I don’t date much. I’m more of a relationship guy“. If that statement alone does not scream gentleman, Guy Ritchie’s recent reveal about Henry Cavill surely will. Gatekeeping The Witcher sensation is a thing of the past, especially after his meteoric rise as Superman in 2013. Since then, fans have fallen even deeper in love with him as they have gotten to know his quirks, nerdy passions for epic high-fantasy literature and gaming, and admirable gentlemanly ways.
Now, with this latest piece of information, The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare star is becoming even more of a true gentleman.
Guy Ritchie spills on Henry Cavill’s treatment of women
In a recent chat with The Hollywood Reporter, director Guy Ritchie, and actors Henry Cavill, Henry Golding, Hero Fiennes Tiffin, and Alex Pettyfer discussed their upcoming film, The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare. During the conversation, the filmmaker shared a charming habit of Cavill. He shared that the 40-year-old always stands up “whenever a lady walks into a room” and has been “consistent” with this gesture since they first crossed paths. However, it is not just the director who has taken note of Cavill’s gentlemanly demeanor.
Even the cast of The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare is on the same page. Cavill, Golding, Pettyfer, and Tiffin had a chat with ET’s Nischelle Turner last month where they talked about the Argylle actor’s vibe on the sets. “Gentleman is the right word, for sure,” Tiffin spilled about his co-star. To which, Pettyfer added, “He brings a humbleness to the set with everyone”. In fact, Cavill himself acknowledged his gentlemanly persona, albeit in a slightly different context.
Henry Cavill, the quiet type who usually keeps his cards close to his chest, had once hinted at his gentlemanly methods of seduction.
Henry Cavill considers himself to be a “modern gentleman”
Back in February 2009, Henry Cavill let fans peek behind the curtain of his seduction playbook in an Arena magazine article. When the talk veered toward the Art of Seduction, he casually dropped some wisdom about the role of fragrance in attracting someone. According to him, scents have this magical power to stick in our minds. Henry Cavill, taking cues from Mission Impossible, called himself a “modern gentleman“- the type who can charm effortlessly yet remains respectful.
He emphasized the importance of keeping one’s cool without being boring. And when it comes to wooing, he has got a clever strategy: flowers. Instead of playing guessing games, Cavill just asks the lady about her favorite blooms, ensuring he hits the mark every time. With moves like these, it is no wonder fans see him as the epitome of true gentlemanliness.
