Get ready for more danger, more action, more passion, & more energy in Guy Ritchie’s new star-studded blockbuster!
Guy Ritchie is often dubbed as one of the best modern directors of all things crime action comedy, and we tend to agree with this sentiment. The prolific director will release his The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare with Henry Cavill in only a few days, but the duo is already ready to hit the theaters with another blockbuster — this time, even more star-studded.
In the Grey Gets a Release Date (and a Name)
Last year, Guy Ritchie announced his new movie that didn’t have a name. Today, we know more about it: it’s called In the Grey, and its cast sounds promising in itself. Henry Cavill and Eiza González, who star in Ritchie’s upcoming The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare, join forces with The Covenant’s Jake Gyllenhaal this time.
In the Grey will follow two high-level professionals who specialize in evacuating important people from danger zones on their new quest. This time, they will be tasked with saving a translator… And a missing fortune while they’re at it.
At the CinemaCon, Guy Ritchie revealed In the Grey’s premiere date: as of now, it’s scheduled for a January 17, 2025 release. The movie is already in post-production.
Ritchie and Cavill Have Another Premiere Lined Up
Henry Cavill’s performances clearly found a special place in Guy Ritchie’s heart: the collaborations between the actor and the director are becoming a trend. 2015’s The Man from U.N.C.L.E. became their first movie together, but with the upcoming premieres of The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare and In the Grey, it’s safe to say that Ritchie and Cavill enjoy working together.
The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare, their second collaboration, will be released in a week, on April 19, 2024. The movie follows the first-ever Black Ops unit created by Winston Churchill during World War II to fight against the Nazis without the legal limitations that applied to other units and divisions.
