Katy Perry brought the fun and futuristic vibes to Radio 1’s Big Weekend with her wacky faces and stylish ensemble.

When it comes to pop music Perry equals power, and Radio 1’s Big Weekend was no different.

Katy Perry proved why she is at the top of her game – while pulling some very animated faces – as she performed on Sunday night.

Closing the Main Stage of the two-day festival in Glasgow, the Roar singer, took to the stage in a whirlwind of facial expressions and raised fists.

Earlier on Sunday a horde of stars had appeared on the main stage in Glasgow’s city centre, including Coldplay’s Chris Martin joining the Kings Of Leon for a rocking session.

The collaboration caps 48 hours of live music presented by the BBC’s mainstream youth music station.

After Saturday’s appearance by One Direction, the boybands kept coming with The Vamps, who look set to follow in the footsteps of McFly and Busted with their teen-pop appeal.
